Choose 2×, 3×, or 4×

Open Settings → Gameplay → Fast Forward Speed and choose the rate you want. The global default is 2×. A per-game speed setting can override that choice for a particular game.

Switch during a session

  1. Make the touch button visible

In Settings → Controls, enable Show Fast Forward button if you want an on-screen shortcut.

  2. Tap Fast Forward while playing

The button toggles the effective rate for the current game. Tap it again to return to 1×.

  3. Use a controller shortcut if you prefer

Assign the optional Fast Forward action in Button Mapping. It toggles on a press rather than requiring a held button.

Each new game session starts with fast forward inactive. Choosing a rate in Settings does not leave every future session running fast.

A requested rate, not a benchmark

The 2×, 3×, and 4× labels select an emulation rate. Actual speed depends on the game and device. Selecting 4× does not guarantee four times the observed performance.

If play becomes difficult to control or the result is slower than expected, return to 1× and compare, then try 2×. For a game that ignores your global speed choice, check its per-game override. See the speed checks for a short diagnostic sequence.
